For the
wind farm collection network and
grid connection, KEMA are the
independent owner's engineer, involved in the system design, network
analysis and tendering.
KEMA have carried out the network studies and basic design for the 428
km long
high voltage network connection. Both stationary and dynamic
power system analyses have been performed to ascertain the succesful
integration of the large wind farm into the network of Kenya. KEMA is
also the co-ordinator of the tender process and has the task of running
a smooth, competitive, fair and transparant tender process. The
execution of the tender process is carried out by KEMA together with
KPMG, for the technical and the financial parts, respectively.
